  7. • The system Prometheus makes visual effects for musical playing. 
  8.      A sound signal should be load to audio-input of Macintosh (in simple
  9.      case, the source of the signal may be a  microphone). 
  10.      The Prometheus transforms sounds to video-images (Gestalten) and this
  11.      transformation is based on exact measures and calculations, however
  12.      this is not  sufficient info -- some info about your subjective
  13.      perception (dream) is necessary.  This info may be set by user and
  14.      saved in Preferences file.

  16. Note, please, that one of Prometheus’ setup which seemed to be
  17.             optimal for one musical composition may look like terrible for
  18.             another -- because here the general is subjective factor of your
  19.             own perception of the music.

  21. • Be sure to use " ? "-button to show/hide Balloon Help 
  22.      in Prometheus dialog window.
  23.  
  24. • The Prometheus requires System 7.0 or later, color display 
  25.      (not less 14" is preferable).
  26.  
  27. • The Prometheus software as well as its original know-how  is in
  28.      progress, and Author do believe that in result the updated version 
  29.      of the system will be created in the very near future.

  34.      Prometheus is shareware program. Shareware fee will be about $30US;
  35.      some discounts are quite possible in some cases.

  39. • ABOUT DEMO :  Prometheus-demo program is free. This means that
  40.      anybody is able to copy it and give the copy to another person
  41.      without profit (i.e. the copy can not be sold, but, surely, any
  42.      costs for magnetic media -- only ! -- may be covered). 
  43.      This READ.ME file must be included in the copy.

  45.                                  Prometheus-demo is restricted program! 
  46.  
  47.      For example, this demo stops after a few minutes of playing
  48.      (be sure to register and get real Prometheus, which is capable to
  49.      run as much as you want).

  51. • For Russian users : versions of Prometheus-demo, READ.ME and
  52.      Prometheus in Russian are allowed. 
  53.    50% shareware fee discount to register Russian user.

  55. • Any modification of READ.ME, Prometheus-demo  and Prometheus files is forbidden.

  57. • To publish the program, for example, to insert Prometheus-demo 
  58.      into CD-ROM, you should ask the author about permission.
